THE WALL OF SACRIFICE PLUS CD/7″ – SPANISH FEATURE We have interviewed Douglas P. from Death In June on the occasion of the CD reissue of The Wall Of Sacrifice, which also includes a limited 7 ”vinyl available in various colors. This has been carried out by the Steel Work Maschine label. Now thirty-one years have passed since the release of one of the most enigmatic works of Death In June’s career, The Wall Of Sacrifice. Interview:2019-Cinema Now

Extract from a forthcoming edition of the Australian publication ‘Cinema Now’: ‘Essence!’ was conceptualised over the last four years in various locations worldwide, including Croatia, Ukraine, Canada, Florida, Pennsylvania, California, and in the Adelaide Hills. I spoke with Douglas P. briefly to talk about the album, the Adelaide effect, and more surrounding the album. Echo: I wanted to talk about how Adelaide has influenced you musically. I find it a very interesting region, I’ve lived here on and off as I travel a lot, and there’s a strange vibe here….

Interview:2006-Yahoo Groups 9

Richard Hawley I’ve been appreciating Richard Hawley’s solo work since Nigel at the Rough Trade Shop suggested I should listen to his recordings a few years ago. His other albums ‘Richard Hawley’ and ‘Late Night Final’ are also very good. If you can hunt down my fellow Adelaidian Luke Ashby’s work he is also in a similar vein but probably better! The most played CD of the New Year so far is ‘Profile’ by Githead which I got as a present. Colin Newman makes this sound like a great Wire…

Interview:2005-Yahoo Groups 8

2004 playlist There’s been a number of new releases this past year from groups like Werkraum, Luftwaffe, forseti, Sonnehagel, Isomer, Projekt Thule, Novo Homo and Darkwood that have probably already been mentioned on other people’s lists that I also enjoyed listening to – a lot! However, there are a few others that also hold special memories: The John Schroeder Orchestra ‘Space Age Soul’- a lounge-core classic! Enoch Light Presents ‘Spaced Out – Exploratory Trips through the music of Bach, Bacherach, The Beatles integrating the Moog, the guitar scene, electric harpsichord…

From: “Douglas P.” a href=”mailto:douglasp_@h…”>douglasp_@h… Date: Sun Jun 2, 2002 2:32 pm Subject: WSD & The Police Well, this Golden Jubilee weekend has been all rush, rush, rush as I haul my genetically defective self in and out of my Gogomobile and harangue tourists to buy photos of me featured in that wonderful calendar which becomes oh so effective this month. They’re here to see the Queen and it’s exactly what they got! But, as the calendars have nearly all sold out it’s time for a break to catch up…

Interview:2002-Yahoo Groups 1

Subject: Hullo Angels Before the blisters on my fingers burst through constant rehearsals for the forthcoming Spring Surprise Tour, before I go to sleep through translating so much boring bullshit from Alan Trench of World Serpent Distribution in his wonderful interview in the German ‘Zinnober’ magazine and before the Minister of Misinformation takes over this list as his own mouthpiece to the ‘World’ I thought it was high time to intervene. I will be available from 6th March-9th March to answer any reasonable questions etc. placed on this list. After that,…
